Learning in coaching you will experience out of the comfort zone.
All that you know, is what makes you feel comfortable.
The same path every day.
Same clothes.
Same skills.
Routine.
No challenge that motivates you to learn new things.
And in the end, boredom.
In comfort, learning is often reduced.
That's why I want to propose you to get out of your comfort zone.
Because that's exactly where the learning is going to lead you to what you're going to achieve with coaching.
To change.
Getting your goals acquiring new habits.
New skills.
Do you want to know how this process works?
The four phases of learning in coaching
According to the RAETo learn is "to acquire knowledge of something by study or experience".
Knowledge and awareness abound outside your comfort zone.
But in order to learn it is important that you know what are the four phases of the learning process.
STEP 1: Unconscious incompetence
This is the first step in the process.
When you don't know that you don't know.
Possibly something going on in your from day to day and that doesn't let you do anything but go in circles.
Routine without change.
Perspective a short term.
A coaching session may be enough to take you to the next step in the learning process.
STEP 2: Conscious incompetence
At this point there has been a first illumination of consciousness.
It opens the door that allows you to get out of your comfort zone.
You realize that there are something you don't know and that you want to learn.
But to want is not always to be able to.
That's why you need go a step further.
You know you don't know, but you have to get closer towards this new possibility.
Here the motivation you might want to change.
Or fulfill a dream.
Something that occurs in almost every coaching session.
The awareness of incompetence.
STEP 3: Conscious competence
Congratulations.
You've stepped out of your comfort zone.
Something possible thanks to coaching as a tool for change towards the future.
You are at by providing the means to develop that which will allow you to change.
Conscious learning.
You need to invest a lot of energy.
But you start to see the first results.
A great way to move on to the fourth step in your learning process.
STEP 4: Unconscious Competence
This is the phase of integrating learning.
Your new competence is part of you.
Paradoxically you have expanded your comfort zone thanks to coaching.
The border is further away.
But in this growth processwidening your horizon leads you to see farther.
That's why you'll want to go further.
And the coaching is going to help you get it.
